Openings - Research Assistant Professor
The Department of Information Engineering at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) invites applications for a Research Assistant Professor position in Embedded AI. We welcome applicants working in related areas such as Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT), LLM systems, Edge Computing, AI for health and medicine, and AI for autonomous driving and robotics.
The successful candidate will work closely with the CUHK AIoT Lab to conduct cutting-edge research, pursue external funding as a PI, supervise Ph.D. students, and teach undergraduate or postgraduate courses. Those focusing on AI for health and medicine will also collaborate closely with the CUHK Faculty of Medicine on AI-driven healthcare solutions, LLM for medical applications, and digital biomarkers.

The Department of Information Engineering at CUHK, founded in 1989 by Nobel Laureate Prof. Charles K. Kao, is the first and only department of its kind in Hong Kong. The department is recognized internationally for groundbreaking research and translational impact, with highlights including Hong Kong’s first Internet connection and the founding of major high-tech companies such as SenseTime.
